President Rodrigo Duterte have spoken in regards to his visit to his hometown Davao every weekend. He assured the people that the money being used for his back and forth airfare on weekends come from him own pocket.
"I do not use government money when I go home and back to Manila for work," the President clarified.
However, he admitted that his visits to the military camps are being funded by the government.
"But for my outside visits to the military camps, and to be here, to pay my respects sa fallen hero. Lalo na sa anti-drug campaign."
The President personally visits police officials and soldiers that are either wounded or killed because of the government's anti-crime and drug campaign, which have earned him more respect from the people.
