Business Permit Can Now Be Process As Fast As 1-2 Days!
The World Bank declares the Philippines ranks as the 165th when starting a business due to the business permit process in our country, we even rank only as 103rd in terms of the ease of doing business.

Now, the Trade, Local Government and Technology Department finally signed the agreement to cut down the business permit and licensing system of all the cities and municipalities of the Philippines.

Whereas, the National Competitiveness Council Co-Chair Guillermo Luz reiterates how slow our local government agencies work on the business permit.

That is so many windows, so many signatures, and that’s just for the mayor’s permit.

Our current system requires every entrepreneur to submit the following documents such as Barangay Clearance and safety certificate from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)

In regards to the new system that will be implemented soon, it will only take 1-2 days to get your business permit from the average period of 5-10 days. The city hall government will handle all the necessary clearances and payments with the barangay and the BFP.

File the documents -> pay the fees -> collect your permit or license

Prior to that, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said in a press briefing last Tuesday:

It takes people weeks and months to start a business. We don’t want to make it difficult for people. Their business is not in lining up. Their business is in doing their business. – Lopez

An entrepreneur from Makati City, Geneveve Pietro has raised her opinion regarding on the process of business permits or license.

Kung online na lahat, yung pagod, yung oras mo yung expenses, lahat yun mawawala lahat. Kung baga, isang click mo nalang kahit nasa office ka na lang magagawa mo na. Hindi mo na kailangan pumunta ng city hall. -Pietro; an entrepreneur

Lopez would like to inform every entrepreneur, they shall see the effects and difference of the new system in the next 30 days.
