After the comeback of Golden State Warriors, from a 3-1 deficit against the Oklahoma City Thunder during the semi-finals, their star player Kevin,Durant seem to have grown fond of the rival team. It can be remembered that last week, Durant has, announced his resignation from his 8-year team Oklahoma City Thunders. He then became the most, coveted NBA free agent.
But last Monday, Durant silenced the guesses as,he confirmed that he will be joining the Golden State Warriors. He described this decision on,the Players Tribune website as the "most challenging few weeks in my professional life."
The 27-year-old forward revealed that his decision,in joining the Warriors was to improve himself as a player and as a person. Quoting from what,he wrote, he said "The primary mandate I had for myself in making this decision was to have it based,on the potential for my growth as a player -- as that has always steered me in the right direction. But I,am also at a point in my life where it is of equal importance to find an opportunity that, encourages my evolution as a man: moving out of my comfort zone to a new city and community which offers the greatest, potential for my contribution and personal growth."
Durant, having collected 7 NBA All Star, and NBA's MVP in 2014, is expected to raise the leverage of the Golden State Warriors after their, heartbreaking loss from Cleveland Cavaliers to a 4-3 defeat just last month.
