The head of the Philippine,National Police Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa promises a “villain’s welcome” for Vhon Tanto, the suspect for killing the cyclist Mark Vincent,Garalde in Quiapo last Tuesday.
Tanto was apprehended before,noon in Masbate and is now being escorted back to Manila, where,he will be charged with murder and frustrated murder.
"Pagdating niya du'n bukas ay puntahan natin. We will give him a villain's welcome. Not a hero's welcome, but a villain's welcome," dela Rosa told the media this afternoon.
Dela Rosa explained, "Ang villain's welcome is 'yung nakakamatay na mura, nakakamatay na tingin... Basta 'yung kung puwedeng matunaw na lang siya sa upuan."
"Itong si Tanto, tuturuan ko ng boxing kasi mahina siya sa suntukan. Kaya bumunot siya ng baril... Sisiga-siga, mahina naman pala sa suntukan." said dela Rosa - referring to the night of the shooting where the victim Garalde defeated Tanto in a fistfight.
The PNP Chief clarified that he will not hurt Tanto. His “welcome” will be “non-contact.”
