A Airport police Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal was caught on video, extorting money from a colorum driver.
The video showing PO2 Joseph Alday in,the act was taken during a three-week surveillance by Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) management,to investigate problems that had plagued the airport.
Alday was dismissed,and is currently in MIAA's custody.
Montreal warned rogue airport police,officers like Alday will face civil and criminal charges for extortioner, or colloquially known as “kotong.”
After the airport management’s surveillance, they also caught 14 colorum taxis, or taxis without MIAA accreditation, for overcharging.
