Sen. Supt. Benjamin Santos along with Sen. Supt. Jonathan Cabal of the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) , Arnel Libed of the Lapu-Lapu City,Police (LLCPO) and Sr. Supt. Gairanod of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO).
These PRO-7 officials were relieved from their,post last week in connection of the ongoing revamp in the lines of the PNP due to the reports that some of them are,receiving money from illegal drugs personalities.
In his statements, General Bato Dela Rosa admitted that he did not inform mayor Osmena in his actions, in that, he said in one of his interview:
“Pasensya na sir kung nahiubos ka sa pagtangtang sa imong city director” (“My apologies, sir, if you felt bad as your city director was relieved”) he said at a press conference at the PRO-11.
He also asked Osmena to no longer get involved,in the fight for illegal drugs and stop giving reward of P50, 000 with every drug suspect killed.
“We really need you! Please do not abandon us in this fight! Do not be discouraged with this decision, but instead, continue on with the fight!” Dela Rosa urged his Policemen in Cebu City.
