The newly crowned Miss Dimaluna Tourism 2016 says she is in favor with the extrajudicial killings during the question and answer portion of Miss Dimaluna 2016 held at Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental.
Devine Grace Capa, now the Miss Dimaluna Tourism 2016 exclaimed that life is a gift from above however, it’s better to sacrifice one life to protect the humanity.
“I believe that life is a gift. If killing is to save a million lives, then it is better to sacrifice one life than to lose everybody’s safety and endanger humanity forever,” Capa emphasized in her answer.
On the other hand, her answer went viral worldwide and accumulated different opinion from netizens.
Baz Conlin, a foreigner commentator described the Miss Dimaluna Tourism 2016 as uninformed and gave lecture to the lady in his comment pn Miss Dimaluna Facebook page.
“Remember, extra judicial killing is the killing of people by government forces without any sort of trial or legal justification. This person and all of you are painfully clueless about laws, human rights, and reason. You should be ashamed for being so uninformed and ignorant,” Conlin exclaimed in his comment.
However, a defendant of Capa answered back that it’s Miss Dimaluna Tourism 2016 opinion and everybody is entitled to give his/hers. This netizen also added her answer was accorded to her full understanding and beliefs.
Meanwhile, DILG Secretary Rafael Alunan III was impressed with the answer of Miss Dimaluna Tourism 2016.
In his separate comment, the DILG Secretary said “The young beauty queen was on the right track, I think, although because of her youth lacked the presence of mind to correct the emcee. Killing a suspect that violently resists arrest is not EJK (murder or homicide.)
