Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre said the ‘drug money’ involving Senator Leila De Lima could reach as high as P1 Billion after they found out that the P24 Million deposit slips were just the tip of the ice berg.

After further investigating the matter Aguirre said that they gathered up to P88 Million worth of deposit slips, this money is connected to De Lima and her involvement to the illegal drug trade in the New Bilibid Prison.

Aguirre said that they’re still verifying and completing the information they received.

“We are just building with regard to these deposits that the money was allegedly intended by then Secretary de Lima for Ronnie Palisoc Dayan, who was his former bodyguard,” said Aguirre.
3 drug traders agreed to testify against Senator Leila De Lima and submitted their sworn affidavit on the matter, Aguirre said that De Lima’s driver Ronnie Dayan, received millions of deposits from various sources which can be linked to the drug trade but he did not elaborate on that because investigations are still on going.
