Private media organizations are prohibited from,covering the inauguration of President–elect Rodrigo Duterte at Malacañang on June 30.

The reason for this is not enough space, since the venue can only accommodate 500 guests.

However, other media organizations will be,allowed to hook-up with Radio TV Malacañang (RTVM) and PTV 4.

Meanwhile, incoming Communications,Secretary Martin Andanar said, the name of the presidential communications group will be shortened to,Presidential Communications Office or PCO from the longer Presidential Communications,Operations Office (PCOO) for easier recall.


PCO is the agency that manages all,media entities of the incoming administration, such as Radyo Ng Bayan and Philippine Information,Agency among others.

The communications group will be,absorbing Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office which is a,separate office under the Aquino administration.

According to Andanar, the PCO secretary,and spokesperson will report to the president, while Andanar will take care of reporting,administrative work to cabinet members.
