After the much talked about brawl between,Baron Geisler and indie film actor Kiko Matos in a bar at Tomas Morato last May 25, the two agreed,to settle the rift in a Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) fight. The invitation,was made by the URCC president Alvin Aguilar himself. Quoting from,his statement We’d like to extend the invitation to Baron,Geisler and Kiko Matos. If you guys are really going to fight, the URCC cage is open for both of you, Aguilar said. Do it there instead,of in the bars. So you’re very very welcome.
With a few days before the fight, both,guys expressed their eagerness to win the fight. On the sidelines of the Philippine Sportswriters,Association Forum, Geisler said that he will knock down Matos in one blow. I will just shock them. I will,give them a good show. Hindi ako aatras! Isang 'bigwas' ka lang Matos, Geisler added. He said he is,confident and had been training four to five hours a day. Quoting from his statement, I feel pretty confident sa laban,but you will never know kung sino mananalo. But of course, my main goal is to win this fight. Sometimes I train for four to five hours a day. No drinking. I used to,smoke three times a day,”.
Meanwhile, Matos does not want to do the,same fearless,statements and would like to focus on the match alone. He said it's too early to predict. Ayaw ko maging kampante,kung anong round, kung kailan ko siya pababagsakin. Nilalagay ko lang sa,isip ko na malakas ang kalaban, Matos stated.
The much-awaited match,will happen on June 25, 2016.
