During President-elect Rodrigo Duterte's,campaign, he promised the public to stop illegal drugs, criminality and,corruption within the first 3 to 6 months of his term. Under his administration, they will be reviewing,dismissed cases of police officials in relation to the lack of speedy trial.
And has exhorted,citizens to arrest the drug traffickers in their community, stating that they,could shoot them if they show any,resistance to be apprehended and when the people's safety is harmed. In addition to,that, Duterte would give citizens a medal who would do it.
Even the next Philippine,National Police Chief Superintendent, Ronald dela Rosa also,warned the police officials to,put an end to their ties with syndicates. Reminding them that they,already know their identity but dismissed,to say how many were the officials on the list.
