Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan said in a statement during the party celebrates of 71st anniversary of Liberal Party, he said LP has vowed to support President Rodrigo Duterte’s policies that would be favourable to the nation’s interest.
"We are willing to support the administration in its initiatives that we believe will be beneficial to our nation," Pangilinan said.
"The LP will go back and reconnect with our various stakeholders in the grassroots, work towards building a genuine people's party and will help in forging a wider unity with like-minded groups and individuals committed to strengthening our democracy, respect for human rights, and the rule of law," he added.
Earlier, Kiko made his statement saying that Liberal Party will remain critical of the actions of the President especially on matters that will not benefit citizens.
