At a press briefing, Philippine National Police chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, he said he visited SPO3 Ricky Sta. Isabela, the primary suspect in the kidnapping and killing of South Korean businessman Jee Ick Joo

According to Dela Rosa, he confronted SPO3 Sta. Isabela but the latter just gave him alibis.

“Parang puro self-defense. Puro alibi.

Alam ko yung taong nagsisinungaling,” Dela Rosa said.

“Hindi ko pine-prejudge. I’m not a judge ... baka sabihin na naman nung asawa hindi ako judge but I’m the chief PNP, I know my men. Puro alibi,” he said.

Sabi ko direct to the point. Sabihin mo sa akin yung pangyayari. E andami napuntahan ng istorya niya. Sabi ko diretso tayo mag-usap,” he said.

“Meron kaming napag-usapan. As of now, kung ano ang nareceive n’yo na development as of yesterday, yung lang muna tayo. Hindi muna ako magbigay ng details dahil ongoing pa,” he said.

I want justice to be served. Ngayong nakakulog na OK na ako,” he said.

Sta. Isabel earlier told reporters that there were police officials involved the killing of Jee and he just followed the instructions given to him by his team leader, Supt. Rafael Dumlao.

Isabela said.
