On Thursday, President Rodrigo Duterte has expressed his apology over the murder of a South Korean businessman who was allegedly killed by cops inside the Camp Crame.

He also warned those who were involved that they will pay big.

“I apologize for the death of your compatriot. We are very sorry it happened but I can assure you those responsible are known to us already and they will go to prison and I will see to it that they are sentenced to the maximum,” Duterte said.

“You will suffer,” he threatened.

“Maybe I can send your heads to South Korea.”

This was the first time that the President issued a public statement since the issue broke out.

He declined General Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa’s resignation following the scandal that tainted the reputation of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

“I want to disappear from this world because of so much shame after what my men did,” Dela Rosa said.

The kidnap-slay controversy is the most recent that shook the whole nation, and is considered to be a slap in the face to the war against drugs of the president.
