Seems like the entire Philippines is shaking as natural disaster hits the country the past few days.

How prepared are we for this? How will our government respond if a calamity will strike again?

Here's what well-known writer Krizette Laureta Chu says about it:

"For small mercies, I am grateful that it is no longer Noynoy and Dinky Soliman in charge of rescuing us. I do not want the epic failure of Yolanda to ever happen again. Not even to the Yellows. It's a double tragedy to be hit by a natural calamity, and then find that your own government could not help you," Krizette Chu stated in a Facebook post.

She also plead the Liberal Party to resume their destabilization plot against Duterte after Mother Earth has calmed down.

"LP, please, favor, I beg you-- I WILL NEVER ASK FOR ANOTHER FAVOR AGAIN--please, please resume destabilization plots AFTER Mother Earth has calmed down. Promise, hindi niyo kakayanin, hindi kakayanin ni Leni, if something happens to the Philippines," she added.

Krizette further wrote:

"Prangkahan: Wala po sa skill set ninyo ang rescue operations. Wala po talaga kayong alam. Exhibit A: Zamboanga siege. Exhibit B: Yolanda. Para din po sa mga pamilya ninyo ang favor na ito. (Aminin ninyo. When tragedy strikes, you would rather have a Digong on top than a Leni. AMININ. Politics aside, each one of you Yellows will be grateful that it is not an LP-led government anymore. Ask most people whose lives were affected by Yolanda.) Kaya pause muna kayo at nag aalburuto ang kalikasan."

Is the entire Philippines shaking?

The first major one that Manila felt was on the night of the Coldplay concert. It was a 5.9 temblor.

1,000 aftershocks have hit Batangas so far.

Yesterday (or was it the day before), Leyte reported feeling earthquakes.
Today, Davao Oriental reports a 5.6 earthquake.

But before that, dead carcasses of deep sea animals have floated into shore. Several massive deep sea dwellers have washed up, like the oarfish, which is known to live 300 feet below the sea.

In Surigao, in Leyte, in Cebu, in Bohol, these mysterious sea creatures--some which live up to a depth of 1,000 meters-- have turned up dead. Folklore belief is that they are messages from the sea god. Common sense dictates something chaotic and unusual must be happening underneath our oceans.

An earthquake is one of the things that jolts you to your senses, literally and figuratively. It tells you, THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO EXCEPT PREPARE. Men have gone to the moon and a spaceship has hurtled past Pluto, a vaccine has been made for dengue and women can now freeze their eggs to choose when to have babies, but no technology created has given mankind the predictive powers to anticipate an earthquake.

Kaya Leila magbago ka na.

Also, seriously now, now is the perfect time to fight for Judy Taguiwalo to be confirmed as DSWD Sec. With disaster looming in the near horizon, we need very effective people to be there for us WHEN--not if--a disaster of great magnitude strikes. Knock on wood.

For small mercies, I am grateful that it is no longer Noynoy and Dinky Soliman in charge of rescuing us. I do not want the epic failure of Yolanda to ever happen again. Not even to the Yellows. It's a double tragedy to be hit by a natural calamity, and then find that your own government could not help you. It is the worst feeling, one I would not wish on my Facebook enemies.

LP, please, favor, I beg you-- I WILL NEVER ASK FOR ANOTHER FAVOR AGAIN--please, please resume destabilization plots AFTER Mother Earth has calmed down. Promise, hindi niyo kakayanin, hindi kakayanin ni Leni, if something happens to the Philippines.

Prangkahan: Wala po sa skill set ninyo ang rescue operations.

Ask most people whose lives were affected by Yolanda.) Kaya pause muna kayo at nag aalburuto ang kalikasan.

Thank you po in advance, and I mean this.

(Puwera buyag. Simba ko. Mapaharayo unta.)
