Vice President Leni Robredo was visiting Cebu City on March 3, 2017 (Friday) for the launching of “Until We Heal” global campaign when she said in her speech, “they can’t silence us” referring to the big expose Naga Leaks published by We Are Collective blog.
“Yung paglabas ng kung anong leaks yan, ito ay attempt para i-silence tayo,” Robredo said, even telling reporters that she would continue lobbying for her stand on issues despite its opposition to the current administration.
“Ilang beses na itong ginawa dati. Hindi nagtagumpay. At kahit anong gawin, hindi ito magpapatahimik sa atin,” she added.
The Naga Leaks expose detailed the political history, anomalies, and truth behind the leadership of reputably known good and uncorrupted former and late Naga City Mayor Jesse Robredo, late husband of Leni.
“Hindi tayo nagkasala sa bayan. Yung paniniwala natin, buong puso at buong tapang pa din nating i-iexpress kahit ano pa yung gawin nilang panghaharang dito,” she said.
She further announced that a she will hold a dialog with fisherfolk in San Remegio, Cebu to relaunch a book written by her late husband, “Jesse Robredo: The Quest for Good Governance.”
