“If you recall, you were not even the original choice of Pnoy and Mar as VP candidate,” Mark Lopez said in his post reminding the readers and the Vice President that the LP approached Grace Poe first and offered her the vice presidential slot.
Lopez added that “on May 6 or 3 days before the actual elections, Pnoy made a desperate, last ditch effort and Mar went to "taranta" overdrive by appealing on national TV, AGAIN, to Grace Poe for them to join forces!” which shows that if Poe had only conceded to the offer, Robredo would have been easily “dropped from the ticket”.
However, Robredo pushed through and even won, questionably, as vice president after a “thief-of-the-night, natulog-lang-kami fashion” accelerated by the coyness of LP, Comelec, and Smartmatic.
Lopez scathingly remarks that with Robredo’s victory, she has been “elevated from "panakip butas" to "bala ng kanyon"” where she does not really have a say in the party’s hierarchy; instead she is a puppet through which the LP forwards their propaganda.
