activities, has been confirmed dead by Malacanang after his own wife, a
sergeant in the security force, found his body with a gunshot wound in the
chest area, September 26, Tuesday at around 8:50 AM. The gun used was the
officer’s own .45 caliber pistol.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

TACLOBAN CITY, Leyte — Twenty-seven people were hurt in an explosion in the town plaza of Hilongos town, Leyte, past 9 p.m. on Wednesday.<br />
Initial reports received by the Leyte governor said a boxing event was in progress as part of the town’s fiesta celebration when something exploded.<br />
The report received by Leyte Gov. Dominico Petilla showed that at least 27 were injured — two were in critical condition — during the bombing at Rizal Plaza in the town proper.<br />

Petilla’s office is still trying to verify reports that at least 10 people were killed.<br />
The police have started their crime scene investigation and are now determining the perpetrators of the bombing and their motives.  SFM<br />

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on,Wednesday released the artist's sketch of the suspect in last Friday's deadly explosion in Davao City.<br />

"We are definite, based on the testimonies, based on the circumstances, na siya na 'yung suspect, siya na 'yung may dala ng bag dahil lahat nung descriptions, 'yung bag, 'yung mga pieces of evidence, fit na ito 'yung nagdala noong bag doon sa site," Chief. Supt. Ben Magalong said.</blockquote>

Magalong added that those responsible for,the bombing are members of an extremist group. He, however, refused to give further details on,the identity of the said group.<br />

The primary suspect in the Davao blast has,a slim built, is between 5'7 to 5'8 in height and is around the age of 30.<br />

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Ronald De la Rosa said police investigators are looking into several possibilities regarding the identities of the perpetrators of the recent bombing in Davao City that killed 15 people and hurt over 80 others.<br />

PNP Chief De la Rosa said one of the angles the police are looking into is “narco-terrorism.”<br />
<br />
In a news conference on Monday, September 5, De la Rosa said the Davao City bombing may be related to the administration’s campaign against illegal drugs. He raised the possibility that drug lords who are feeling the pressure of the Duterte administration’s intensified war on drugs may have paid terrorists to stage the bombing.<br />

He said the Abu Sayyaf terrorist group kidnaps people for money. The group, De la Rosa said, can also bomb people for money.<br />

Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said her city will not be terrorized by the bombing of a night market last September 2 that killed at least 15 people.<br />
<br />
As mentioned in an Inquirer article dated September 3, 2016, Mayor Sara called on her constituents to unite and rise from the senseless terror attack.<br />

“We will not be terrorized by this heinous crime and I call on all Davaoeños to unite and let us help each other rise from this senseless incident,” the mayor said in a statement.</blockquote>

She urged the public to remain vigilant and to “report all suspicious activity, no matter how insignificant it may seem.”<br />

The mayor assured the victims of the blast and their families of the city’s help.<br />

“I would also like to reassure all of them, as well as the families of those who are injured that the City Government of Davao will assist in all their needs for hospitalization, burial, funeral and day-to-day expenses,” she said.</blockquote>

A day after the bombing, Mayor Sara announced that the night market is open for business.<br />

“We both agree, the President and I, sa pag-uusap namin ni [in our discussion with] Bong Go (Presidential Management Staff Secretary), that business will continue for Davao City and the night market will open tonight,” Mayor Sara said.</blockquote>

She added: “Davao City is standing up now, not tomorrow, but right now because they believe that the “measure of success of terrorism is how long a victim stands up after an attack.”<br />
<br />
She said it will take a hundred bombing attacks to put Davao City down.</div>

Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte said the city government has allocated up to P2 million reward for persons that will help them track the perpetrators of the deadly bombing that killed at least 14 people and injured 60 others.<br />
<br />
Mayor Duterte, daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte, told reporters on Monday, September 5, that they will give P1 million to whoever can give them information about the name and the location of the person behind the attack.<br />
<br />
Another million will be given to the person who can deliver the person directly to them.<br />

“Ihatid niyo sa amin, posasan ninyo dalhin sa police office or makakapagturo nasaan siya para maaresto namin siya,” she said in an interview via Rappler’s Facebook Live.</blockquote>

According to Philippine National Police Chief Ronald dela Rosa, one of them is a medium-built man aged around 40 years old.<br />

Mayor Duterte emphasized that they want the suspects to be brought to them alive.<br />

“We want him alive because we want to talk to him who is he working with. We want to know their plans of terrorist activities and we want to know why,” she said.</blockquote>

Meanwhile, the city mayor also said that she is replacing the current security chiefs – the military and police – detailed in Davao City.<br />

She said that she has confidence for them but noted that it is a natural action after a security breach such as the bombing of the bustling night market along Roxas Avenue.<br />

The blast happened on a Friday night, one of the busiest days of the market were people are out in the streets to relax and eat, President Duterte was also in Davao City for the weekend. Was there a failure of intelligence?<br />

Philippine National Police chief Dir. Gen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa said that even the United States which he said has the “best intelligence agency in the world,” cannot prevent bombings 100% of the time.<br />

Based on the initial information, there are 10 inmates killed during the blast at the Paranaque City Jail at exactly 8:30PM last night. According to GMA News, among these 10 inmates who died are two Chinese nationals.<br />
<br />
Before the explosion, there were 10 inmates requesting to talk to Jail Supt. Gerald Bantag regarding on the transfer of detention cells, these men were armed with a pistol, fan knife (balisong) and a grenade.<br />
<br />
The relatives of inmates in Paranaque City Jail gathered at the site, other inmates are shouting to their family to ensure that they are still alive and luckily did not suffer from the explosion.<br />
<br />
Officials have not yet released the names of dead inmates at the incident.<br />

<p>A tornado, hail storms and driving rain killed at,least 78 people and injured some 500 in eastern China on Thursday, flattening power lines, overturning cars and ripping roofs off houses in Jiangsu province.<br />

The storm struck mid-afternoon near Yancheng,city, a few hours’ drive north of China’s commercial capital, Shanghai, the Ministry of Civil Affairs said.<br />

Winds of 125 km per hour (78 mph) battered several townships in Funing county, the official Xinhua news agency said.<br />

“I heard the gales and ran upstairs to,shut the windows,” Funing resident Xie Litian, 62, told Xinhua.<br />

“I had hardly reached the top of the stairs when I heard a,boom and saw the entire wall with the windows on it torn away.” When the storm subsided,and Xie escaped, all the neighboring houses were gone.<br />
<br />
“It was like the end,of the world,” Xie said.<br />

Of the roughly 500 hurt about 200 have,serious injuries. Power and communications are down in some areas and,emergency supplies, including 1,000 tents, have been rushed to the scene, the civil affairs ministry,said in a statement.<br />

Orlando, Florida - A two-year old boy is still missing,after a so-called alligator attack outside Walt Disney Park last June 14, 2016.<br />
<br />
Based on reports from,authorities, the child, who was not identified in public, was with his parents and siblings the time the terrible,incident occurred. While they were paddling in the water, the boy was captured by a seven-foot,long alligator and dragged him down at Disney's Grand Floridan Resort and Spa Seven Seas Lagoon. According,to the officials, the said attack happened at around 9:30PM.<br />
<br />
His father tried him to save,from the animal, however failed and he just suffered from injuries. A representative of the said,theme park said that they are all saddened by what happened. They are currently doing ways to help,the family of the victim and taking a more secured place through,law enforcements.<br />
<br />
Concurrently, Florida Fish and Wildlife authorities, are now in full force to find the boy and at the same time,catch the alligator.<br />
