Former whistleblower Sandra Cam lambasted Senator Leila de Lima after the former ordered her to take a seat during the senate inquiry on Monday. De Lima was irked by Cam who was seen standing while the senator was asking PNP Chief Director General Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa to identify the officials who fetched confessed drug lord Kerwin Espinosa from Abu Dhabi.

“May I ask that lady (Cam) to sit down. She is not part of this. She’s not a resource person. Please ask her to sit down. That’s out of order!” De Lima said, eliciting laughter from the crowd.

According to Cam, she's willing to be requested as a resource person during the hearing to answer De Lima’s questions. “Well pinipilit niya (De Lima) chief PNP sino sumundo so pinangalanan ako, so tumayo ako. Gusto ko i-request mo paupuin ako as a resource person para lahat gusto mo malaman ibibigay ko,” Cam said.

Cam was the one who had advised the PNP on Espinosa’s whereabouts after receiving reports from her overseas employee that the fugitive was in Abu Dhabi. She also joined the team that fetched Espinosa at Abu Dhabi.

“Kinekwestyon niya (De Lima) [ang] aking presence, para malaman niya, it was Sandra Cam who tipped police para ma-arrest ang isang drug lord,” she said. However, Cam noted that there was no need for De Lima to raise her voice since the senator needs to treat resource persons with decency.

“Wag mo akong sisigaw-sigawan dahil this is the time for me na sagutin ka harapan,” she stressed. Cam also criticized De Lima saying the former justice secretary is not a “decent” woman.

“Hindi ako senadora, secretary of justice na pumatol sa bodyguard-driver. Di ako ganyan Leila. Disente ako di gaya mo,” she said. “I am warning her not to raise her voice because I don’t care kung makulong ako, ma-contempt ako lalabanan ko yan dahil hindi naman yan disenteng babae.” she added.
