President Rodrigo Duterte was not happy that his name was included in Forbes Magazine’s “Most Powerful People” list on 2016.
The President showed his humble side when a reporter informed him about his inclusion on the list where Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump also belonged this year.
“Ako?!.. I dont need it, I’m not powerful. I’m just running a country.. hindi naman tayo first, second [country] maybe an emerging country.. nakokornihan ako.. I find it very corny” Duterte told the reporter.
President Duterte said that he didn’t imposed his leadership with the people that made him believe that he’s not powerful as the other personalities in the Forbes list.
He also don’t accept the title if the basis of the magazine to include him in the list was because of war on drugs.
“If the power means that.. killing attributing to the 5,000 makes me a powerful man by killing Filipinos… that is a shame I do not accept the title.
“Is killing 5,000 people made me powerful? Do they think I enjoy killing Filipinos?”
