Adelino Sitoy, presidential adviser on legislative affairs and concurrent head of the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office, revealed the plans for the construction of bridges with a railway component that will connect the following places:

According to Sitoy, the railroad will bring a lot of benefits because travel will be faster, saying that a lot of passengers can avail the ease of connection and transport of products will be cheaper; tourism and economy in the Visayas will also get a boost since several islands will be connected.
Sitoy also said that the proposed project was already presented to President Rodrigo Duterte and he has approved the proposal in principle but asked to refer to Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade.

Sitoy was elected as vice mayor of Cordova town, but he quit after he was appointed by President Duterte to his Malacañang positions.
