President Rodrigo Duterte named another politicians who were allegedly involved in illegal drugs on December Presidential Awards for Filipino Individuals and Organizations Overseas in Malacañang Palace.
He showed to the guest the thick list of the politicians who allegedly involved in illegal drugs that made the President cry every night.
He named Iligan Representative Vicente Belmonte and Iligan Mayor Lawrence Cruz in his list of narco-politicians who protected the illegal drug trade in the Philippines.
Vicente Belmonte survived an ambush on 2014 and according to some news, drugs may be behind the assassination attempt. His bodyguards and driver was killed during the ambush.
Iligan Mayor Lawrence Cruz also faced controversy and found guilty by the Ombudsman of grave misconduct and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service. But he didn’t faced any illegal drug related controversy.
