The President explained that the current administration’s budget is still insufficient to rehabilitate all the surrenderers because the administration is still using the past administration’s budget.
He never thought that the people who will surrender to the authorities is bigger than he expected.
President Duterte also said that he is not worried about his image in the international community.
“I am not worried about the international community, because I am not the President of the international country, I am the President of the Republic of the Philippines and must solve decisively this problem or else the 3.7M will compromise the next generation of the Philippines, that is the thing worries me” President Duterte said to Michael Sullivan.
When asked if some drug suspects were not killed by the police, President Duterte answered that the criminals are killing each other to survive.
“Criminals killed criminals, that is not my worry” the President added.
Duterte also gave some situations to the foreign journalist that can explain the drug problem in the Philippines including the child who got raped and killed by the people who are addicted to illegal drugs.
President Duterte also mentioned the bombings of Britain and United States in Iraq. “America and Britain, went in to Iraq, killed so many people on one theory that there was a weapon of mass destruction, turned out that there was non at all”
