Last July 20, a lot of people were delighted to hear that SAF or the Special Action Forces of the Philippines will take over Bilibid. The people hope for a better country and to stop drugs in Bilibid rose up.

True enough, not long after that, reports that the SAF have been “too strict” with the prisoners are surfacing. An issue even surfaced wherein the SAF is torturing the prisoners. However, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II on Monday belied claims by inmates at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) that they were allegedly being maltreated by members of the Special Action Force (SAF) assigned to the national penitentiary.

Aguirre said:
“Nagkakaroon ng disinformation na sinasabi na ang SAF ay masyadong nananakit daw… Mahigpit daw ang SAF pero that means what the SAF troopers are doing ay talagang effective sila kasi nasasaktan sila,”

Aguirre said he heard reports that some inmates were being hurt, doused with water, and “binibigwasan.”

All these claims, however, are not true, he said.

If news like these are surfacing, then we know the SAF are doing their jobs, right?

Earlier this morning, PNP Chief Bato Dela Rosa posted a video on his Facebook page proving just that.

In the video, a lady is seen opening up Graham crackers that are expertly sealed and have concealed contrabands.
