Recently, former senator Francisco Tatad claimed that President Rodrigo Duterte flew to China "for a meeting with doctors at the world-famous Fuda Cancer Hospital in Guangzhou China in the first week of 2017.

January 10, Duterte scoffed at Tatad's claim and even joked that the latter might die first before him.

According to Communications Secretary Martin Andanar in an interview of Radyo Singko, Duterte has a message to Tatad.

“Sabihin mo kay Tatad baka mauna pa siya sa akin,” Andanar quoting what Duterte said.

In a newspaper column of Tatad, he said that Duterte was nowhere to be found between Dec. 31 to Jan. 5 because he went to Fuda Cancer Hospital in Guangzhou to meet with doctors.

On the other hand, as a proof that the president was in good shape, Andanar said that Duterte was very attentive throughout their Cabinet meeting in Malacañang on Monday which lasted from 4pm to 11pm.

He also said that if Tatad or anyone is not convinced, they can go the Bureau of Immigration to verify if Duterte left the country.
