LOOK: Senator Lacson praises Duterte’s strong leadership after he fires Mike Sueno as DILG Secretary on the spot

Senator Panfilo Lacson praised the leadership of President Rodrigo Duterte after he fired former Department of Interior and Local Government Ismael “Mike” Sueno over corruption issues.

Lacson said that the President fired DILG Sueno immediately than waiting him to file his resignation then accepting it “with much regret,”

“While others would ‘accept with much regret the resignation of…,’ this ONE simply said, ‘You’re fired.’ That is LEADERSHIP,” Lacson tweeted.

The Senator is also known for his iron-fist leadership when he was the head of Philippine National Police.

On Monday, President Rodrigo Duterte fired Mike Sueno on the spot after the Cabinet Meeting because of “loss of trust and confidence”

Three undersecretaries of DILG sent a letter to Malacañang, informing the President about the alleged corruption of Sueno and urged him to investigate quietly.

Sueno defends himself and he said that some people only wanted him to be ousted as DILG Secretary.
