In response to Supreme Court Chief Justice,Maria Lourdes Sereno’s letter to President Duterte last August 8, 2016, asking him what are the basis,of any allegation to the specific judges that are allegedly involved in illegal drugs. President Duterte, warns Sereno if she cannot appreciate him doing his duty to stop any illegal drug trades in the,Philippines, he will definitely declare a martial law.
If this continues, pigilan mo ako eh ‘di sige ‘pag nagwala na, or would you rather I declare martial law? Pinapatay ang Pilipino. I grieve for so many women raped, men killed, infants raped tapot ipitin mo ako.
As Sereno advised the other judges involved in,illegal drug trades not to surrender unless there is a warrant of arrest, Duterte sarcastically said that it would, take forever, since there are 600,000 drug personalities.

Madam Chief Justice, you must be joking. Dalawa tayo abugado, kayong lahat sa Supreme Court. Do you know how long it would take the government to secure a warrant of arrest? In the meantime, yung bangag anong gawin mo? Let them resume their criminal activities.-Duterte
Duterte is firm that he will not take, orders from Chief Justice Sereno. Henceforth, he will order everybody not to honor just best she is,the Chief Justice in Supreme Court.

Do not force the issue, I respect your comments, but it is rigmarole to me. Do not create a crisis because, I will order, everybody in the Executive Department not to honor you. Ito prangkahan, kasi nakialam kayo. Just because you are the,Supreme Court, you order me? I will not follow you.
