Senator Bam Aquino Filed Senate Bill 170 To Establish Jobs Centers For SHS Gradsuates

In accordance with Section 9 of Republic Act No. 10533 or also known as the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, Senator Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino filed Senate Bill 170 or “Trabaho Center in School Acts. It aims to help not only college graduates but also senior high school graduates who want to support their family.

While we work on equipping our graduates with the adequate skills to join the work force, let us also bridge the gap between education and employment. 

If the Senate Bill 170 of Sen. Bam Aquino will pass the law, those Trabaho Centers will focus on career counselling services, employment facilitation, and industry matching. In terms of the industry matching set by Aquino, it will address the employment requirements needed by the companies to make a list of students’ profiles.

Aquino also emphasized the importance of Trabaho Centers in the Philippines.

Through the Trabaho Centers, the needs of our nation’s graduates, businesses in the country, and the vision of the Department of Education come together to make the most of our curriculum reform and help us move closer to shared prosperity.
