At approximately 10:27 AM Philippine,Standard Time (PST), hacker group,LizardSquad has claimed responsibility,for taking down Valve’s Steam servers, instantly,disconnecting some 2 million users.
According to the group’s twitter group, the recent attacks on Steam and,other gaming servers are just a precursor to more attacks coming,during the holiday season this December. As of 11 AM today, Steam service has,been restored.
The hacker group made,waves in media and news reports this year when they took down several major gaming and major,corporation’s websites and servers, including grounding the plane of Sony Online,Entertainment President John Smedley last August.
